Yet Another Attempt
Throughout my career, I’ve made many attempts to maintain a blog that I update regularly. They all failed. Sometimes due to a lack of personal consistency, sometimes thanks to unfortunate technical glitches. But as long as we’re alive, we try again. That’s kind of the point of being human, innit?
While building this website today, I realised that I’ve had quite a journey. Over 20 years, from managing campus networks at universities to co-founding two telecommunications companies, to wrestling with FreeSWITCH configs. I started my career by pulling fibre cables in the underground cabling galleries at Abant Izzet Baysal University in 2003. Nowadays I am building horizontally scalable call centre platforms in London. That’s a story worth writing down, and I’m honestly a bit ashamed that I didn’t keep a better log of this adventure.
But it’s never too late.
On these pages, I’ll try to share my personal ramblings, toy projects, professional experiences, and much more. The kind of stuff that falls between a LinkedIn post and a late-night conversation with a fellow engineer.
I know that in the era of AI, building a personal blog might not make much sense to most people. But my motivation is mostly personal. A place to document, reflect, and maybe look back one day and smile at how far things have come.
So here we go, one more time.
